Very first book review! Beware of spoilers and please don’t mind the quality of the photo.
A novel about unveiling the ancient mysteries. The “truth” that has been kept within Washington D.C. (spoiler: Masons and CIA is greatly involved and all the other great minds in the world).
A continuation from the Da Vinci Code, this features Robert Langdon in a mission to save an old friend (peter solomon) that has been kidnapped by an unknown person. Little does he know that the risks is already concerning national-security. Entrusted by an important package, he encounters issues with his trust, goals and with his very own mentality. Using all his skills and knowledge together with friends (katherine, peter’s sister and some other great people) to deal with multiple challenges. Having many lives at risk and with Robert experiencing death. Everything happens in a single night.
Shocking, but beautiful revelations, unexpected twists, mind-boggling codes with hints of action keep you reading.
I finished this book last May 23, 2012. I find it very thrilling. It gets you thinking, a lot. How I wish I’ve gotten the illustrated version but using imagination and general knowledge was alright. There’s the usual killer, good guy + great girl, people trying to do good deeds, weirdos etc. Combination of art, science, history, religion and much more. It’s a great read, totally NOT boring. Though my religious beliefs hasn’tcompletely changed, the statements presented are quite believable. I’ve taken into consideration that we do have great potentials just waiting to be discovered.
